Women by Women, Women for Women, Women with Women

Mission

At the Camino Vital Foundation, we work for protection and dignity of people in mobility in a world in constant motion and increasingly shaped by narratives of exclusion. We foster the empowerment and social recognition of people who migrate, especially women, by valuing their knowledge, life experiences, relationships, aspirations, and culture. We promote peacebuilding, integration, and the strengthening of the social fabric through solidarity between people on the move and host communities.

We dream of a world where migration is recognized as a fundamental right, and where every person is treated with justice, empathy, and respect.

We aspire to play an active role in building a strong social fabric where people look at each other with love and solidarity, grounded in the mutual recognition of our vulnerabilities and strengths.

We recognize in each migration project a vital path that connects us and enriches our shared humanity. Therefore, we aim for a common destiny of hope and well-being for all, to support, to empower, and to take care for one another collectively.

What We Aspire To

Team

Ana

I am a woman, Colombian, a daughter, a mother, a sister, a friend, a teacher, a reader, and a writer. I love connecting with people, learning about different ways of living, acting, dreaming, and supporting others. I seek guidance and direction. I search for myself, I look inward, and I ask questions. I pause, breathe, and feel. I have more questions than answers. I have developed expertise in four key areas: development, public policy, education, and language. I combine my background in philosophy, education, government, and public administration with my passion for contributing to people and communities, and with everything I have learned from so many people along the way.

“I am another you - In Lak'ech”

I am a woman. I have migrated. I have a degree in mathematics. I have built my career in finance and process optimization in international environments. I believe in the power we have to impact others and the planet. That's why I strive to make everything I do sustainable. Reinventing myself several times has given me resilience and empathy. I put these tools I use to navigate this world at the service of people in mobility with the conviction that it is part of my life's path.

A team of professionals in Psychology, Administration, Law, and the Humanities, alongside individuals with experience implementing humanitarian and development projects as well as mainstreaming approaches, is linked to each project of the Camino Vital Foundation.

Our Story

The most beautiful dream is built step by step, with your feet on the ground, with your soul dedicated to action

José Millán, 2025

Ana and Adriana, two friends. We share a sensitivity to the vulnerable situation in which many people live.

In January 2025, we conceived the idea of planting something with its own roots, something that would grow beyond ourselves, transcend our presence in this life, and inspire others. Through several conversations and workshops, we identified themes that resonated deeply with both of us. Thus, an honest and reflective process began. We laid bare our dreams, fears, limitations, experiences, abilities, and aspirations. We committed to each other, because building something meaningful requires more than good intentions; it requires responsibility.

January 2025, we sowed the seed…

Since then, we have nurtured it every day.
