Camino Vital Foundation hereby informs users of its Personal Data Processing Policy, which enables data subjects to exercise their rights in accordance with Law 1581 of 2012, which establishes general provisions for the protection of personal data, as regulated by Decree 1074 of 2015.

 

In compliance with Statutory Law 1581 of 2012 and Regulatory Decree 1377 of 2013, Camino Vital Foundation has established the following policies for the processing of personal data to ensure the exercise of the rights of data subjects:

1. Purpose of Data Processing

Personal data provided to Camino Vital Foundation may be processed (including collection, storage, use, circulation, or deletion) solely for the specific purposes for which such data was provided.

 

2. Collection of Personal Data

Personal data and authorizations for data processing are collected through the Foundation’s website via registration forms, as well as through communications sent by data subjects via email.

 

3. Sensitive Information

Data subjects have the right to choose not to provide any sensitive personal information requested by the Foundation.

 

4. Rights of Data Subjects

In accordance with applicable constitutional and legal provisions, individuals whose information is contained in the Foundation’s databases are entitled to the following rights:

• To access their personal data free of charge and to request its review, correction, rectification, updating, or amendment in accordance with the procedures established herein.

• To request and obtain proof of the authorization granted for the processing of their personal data.

• To obtain information regarding the use made of their personal data.

• To file complaints or requests before the competent authorities, particularly the Personal Data Protection Office of the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce, for the protection of the rights granted under applicable law.

• To revoke, modify, or condition their authorization for the processing of personal data at any time and to request the deletion, correction, or clarification of such data, except where retention is required by law or contract.

 

5. Personal Data of Minors

The provision of personal data relating to minors is voluntary and must be authorized by the minor’s parent or legal guardian.

 

6. Protection of Children and Adolescents

Camino Vital Foundation is committed to the proper use of the personal data of children and adolescents and shall ensure that such data is processed in accordance with their best interests and with full respect for their fundamental rights.

7. Responsibilities of Camino Vital Foundation

Once Camino Vital Foundation obtains personal data, it becomes responsible for and entrusted with its processing and shall guarantee the fundamental rights of data subjects as established by the Political Constitution of Colombia.

Accordingly, the Foundation shall:

• Maintain appropriate security measures to prevent deterioration, loss, alteration, unauthorized access, or fraudulent use of personal data.

• Preserve the confidentiality of information provided by data subjects in accordance with applicable legal provisions.

• Use personal data solely for the purposes that justified its collection and that are related to the Foundation’s legitimate activities and functions.

• Inform data subjects, upon request, of the use being made of their personal data.

• Comply with instructions issued by the competent supervisory authority regarding personal data protection legislation.

8. Procedures for Exercising Data Subject Rights

To safeguard the rights of individuals whose personal data is stored in the Foundation’s databases, as well as any data collected in the future, Camino Vital Foundation has established the following procedures.

A data subject (understood as the individual who provided the information, their successors, or authorized representatives) may, at any time during the Foundation’s business hours (Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.), submit a request electronically to obtain information regarding the personal data contained in the Foundation’s databases and any authorizations granted for its processing.

Likewise, data subjects may submit requests or complaints concerning the clarification, correction, modification, updating, rectification, or deletion of personal data, as well as the revocation or modification of authorizations for data processing. Any supporting documents or evidence may be attached to such requests.

To exercise these rights, the data subject must submit a written request to the person responsible for personal data processing at the following email address:

The requester must provide sufficient information to allow the Foundation to verify that they are the data subject or an authorized representative.

Requests should include:

• The full name of the data subject and, where applicable, the authorized representative.

• A copy of the identification document of the data subject and, if applicable, the representative.

• A clear description of the data or authorization to be accessed, corrected, updated, modified, deleted, or revoked.

• A detailed explanation of the requested correction, modification, or action.

• A mailing address or email address where the response should be sent.

The Foundation will send its response to the same email address from which the request was submitted, provided that it matches the information contained in its databases.

The Foundation will respond to requests for information within a maximum period of ten (10) business days from the date the request is received.

If it is not possible to respond within that period, the requester will be informed of the reasons for the delay and of the date on which the request will be addressed. In no case shall the response be delayed by more than five (5) additional business days after the expiration of the initial response period.
