Projects

We design, manage and implement projects for psychosocial support and the improvement of livelihoods, promoting the exercise of rights and the strengthening of people's dignity.

Tejido Vital women's house

"Tejido Vital: Women's House" is a safe, community-based space that facilitates encounters between women from the host community and women in the process of migration. There, women can share their life experiences and empower one another, far from violence and exclusion. In this house, mutual support, emotional containment, and guidance on rights strengthen collective resilience and contribute to peacebuilding.

A Life Path Without Stigma

Through "A Path to Life Without Stigma," we promote recognition of the positive impact of human mobility on host communities. We publicize actions that contribute to the fulfillment of the rights of people in the migration process, as well as situations of discrimination.

What characterizes our interventions

Mural.HEIC

We guide our interventions from a resilient human development approach to improve the conditions and opportunities of all, protecting and strengthening their capacities and agency in the face of disturbances or adversities.

We take into account the biological, psychological, social, cultural, and contextual aspects that are part of each person's historical trajectory. This means recognizing them within their current living conditions, their past, and their future expectations. Therefore, we are committed to strengthening the freedoms and potential of each individual, conceived as the foundation for generating sustainable change, based on engaged citizenship and the exercise of transformative leadership. In this sense, based on the conviction that all people learn and have the capacity to learn continuously throughout their lives, we strive to ensure that all our interventions contribute to strengthening the capacities to 'learn to know,' 'learn to be,' 'learn to do,' and 'learn to live together' (Jacques Delors).

All people, regardless of their circumstances, enjoy universal rights that must be considered globally, fairly, and equitably. They also have the right to seek and strive for a better life. From this perspective, the work of the Camino Vital Foundation seeks to contribute to the realization of these rights. Specifically, we promote equal opportunities and the conscious participation of women, given the persistence of discriminatory conditions through sexist practices and stereotypes that constitute barriers to their full development.

We believe in building collective processes based on empathy, equity, compassion, and non-discrimination. Furthermore, we value and respect social, cultural, geographic, and environmental diversity, as well as the complexity of human relationships, as essential to achieving lasting change. Therefore, we promote the active participation of communities, recognizing both their perspectives on their challenges and their strengths and aspirations.

Additionally, we aim to mitigate any potential negative consequences our work may have on personal and community dynamics and trajectories. Therefore, our actions are tailored to be relevant and timely, fostering mutual respect and collective care.
